Mysterious Allergic Reaction

I was out on the soccer field last night (February 17, 2006). My arm started itching slightly and to my suprise I had a rather large white welt, hivish looking. I thought it was just an ant bite at first, because that is usually what it looks like. It started growing up my arm, and then I felt that same burning sensation creeping down my spine. I could feel it in my ears and started growing around my face, then my face went numb. From below my head my skin felt like it was on fire. I went to my brothers house so he could take me to the hospital, because I felt like I was going to pass out. I made it to my brothers, and I was standing in the kitchen and all the sudden my eyes went dark… its weird because my eyes were open, but I couldnt see anything. I grabbed as much water as I could and went to the hospital.
My skin is still on fire, I walked inside… couldnt find anyone to help. took me a couple minutes to find someone that was willing to help, it is hospital everyone is terribly busy all the time. I told him my symptoms, and I saw him write “James Boessel, allergic reaction” I first thought who the hell is James? who cares he wrote allergic reaction and told me a doctor would see me within 3-4 hours so I told him I was checking out. If it was serious like a poisonous bite or something he would probably just quickly get me a shot… I told him I was leaving. I paid my $45 to see that nurse. Went to Target and bought some Benadryl and that stuff knocked me out for 12 hours. Oh yeah and if you go see the hospital emergency room and you have a high deductible just tell them that you dont have insurance you get 50% off, w00t!
